I am an economic theorist with research interests in mechanism design and negotiation, and a secondary interest in international economics and trade. In mechanism design, my work examines how institutions can be created to deliver “good” outcomes even when behaviour is unpredictable. In negotiation, I study how real-world features of bargaining can generate inefficiencies. These strands connect to questions in international trade, where institutional design and negotiation play a central role in trade agreements, and where I have collaborated with colleagues in trade economics.
I am currently a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Economics at the University of Liverpool Management School. I received my Ph.D. from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) and the Barcelona School of Economics (BSE) under the supervision of Antonio Penta.
